Why is my camera Canon Powershot A400 digi continues to run on batteries?
I use normal batteries because the battery charger are too expensive and they still run in the first 15 minutes, and a waste. Can someone please tell me how to have a battery yet more sustainable for this device?
If you mean by normal cells, the so-called Heavy Duty them, then they are not worth the money. Even regular AA alkaline batteries but they last longer, will not give you the results of lithium batteries or rechargeable NiMH batteries. NiMH batteries have a very long life and maintain good load for a long time. If you have used part of NiCd rechargeable batteries and more, I can see your disappointment. Bottomline is that rechargeable Batteries are the best way to go because you can use them over and over and over! (I hope you do not throw them away ?!?!) Want to make a battery last longer on your Canon Powershot? 1. Turn off the LCD and use the viewfinder. The LCD is a drain known energy. 2. Also, use less flash. You can use natural light if you increase your ISO (sensitivity) of your camera. 3. Turn the camera when not shooting pictures. ON if there is a constant battery drain. I hope these ideas help. Incidentally, I always recommend having spare batteries and extra memory cards with you.
